The perfect mix of beaches and mountains The Costa Blanca is famous for its Blue Flag beaches in the south of the region. Coastal towns here revolve around these beaches, with high rise apartment blocks by far the most abundant property type. Venture further north and you’ll find that the terrain changes dramatically, with mountains and hills providing a far different landscape. Dry and barren will suddenly become green and lush. Scores of pretty villas litter the green hillsides where you’ll find many orange groves and vineyards. Popular towns in North Costa Blanca include La Nucia and the Jalon Valley inland and Calpe, Javea Moraira and on the coast. With property in Spain still around 30% lower than the pre-recession era, the Costa Blanca continues to offer excellent value for money. Property here is generally more affordable than the Costa del Sol, however, prices vary from resort to resort. Orihuela Costa and Pilar de Horada are particularly inexpensive, with many reasonably priced apartments for sale. Head to the exclusive costal resorts of Jávea and Moraira and you’ll find lavish costal properties costing millions. In general, prices are lower in South Costa Blanca than the north, mainly due to this area having a less scenic landscape. Prices vary considerably depending on the age, style, and location of a property, with proximity to the coast being a major factor. Affordable property for sale in Spain
